Coway R&D center, established in Aug 2011, located in Beijing China, is an innovative platform derived from the traditional fermentation industry and integrates advanced biotechnologies, such as microbial cell marking, cell selection and breeding technology, cell culture technology, microbial fermentation technology, enzymic conversion technology, synthetic semi-synthetic technology, refined extraction technology, quality detection and analysis technology.
Hundreds of mature, state-of-the-art industrial biological fermentation, enzymatic bioconversion and semi-synthetic technologies are in stock. The R&D field covers pharmaceuticals (antibiotics, anti-cancer, blockbuster anti-fungal, blockbuster anti-infectives, immunosuppressants, steroids, antidebate, biosimilars, etc.), nutrition ingredients, food & feed additives, cosmetic ingredients, enzymes.
In addition to research and development work, the center also provides technology demonstration, technology training, technical assistance in technology transfer and contract manufacturing projects, and provides backup in contract manufacturing cases.
