Moxidectin

1. Production introduction

Moxidectin is a semi-synthetic single component macrolide antibiotic produced by the fermentation of Streptomyces sp. It is a macrolide and semi-synthetic derivative of Nemectin. Moxidectin is a parasiticidal agent used for the prevention and control of filarial and intestinal worms. As a new generation of anthelmintic drug, moxidectin is highly effective in killing nematodes and body parasites, while having an excellent safety profile for animals. It is superior to ivermectin in terms of dosage, formulation development, drug resistance and drug distribution in the body.
