Ornithine

1. Production introduction

Ornithine is an alkaline amino acid that is part of the urea cycle associated with urea production. Ornithine is important for removing waste products from the body. Ammonia (NH3) is a waste product produced by cellular metabolism and can be detrimental to health when levels of ammonia are too high. Ornithine acts as a catalyst to convert ammonia into urea, which the body then eliminates naturally from the urine. Ornithine is used in medicine as a reagent in addition to injections, and is usually used together with arginine to configure fatigue-restoring foaming drinks. In recent years, ornithine has been increasingly used in the food and pharmaceutical industries.
